KSN Podcast: An interview with 2017 Penn State QB recruit Sean Clifford

Penn State got on the board in the 2017 recruiting class this week with a verbal commitment from four-star quarterback Sean Clifford. The St. Xavier (Ohio) High School standout, who rates as the No. 157 player in the ’17 class by Rivals, was eager to commit after camping at Penn State in June and vowed to take on leadership responsibilities in the class.

Clifford could go down as the most talented quarterback Franklin has recruited since arriving at Penn State. He has good size and a high football IQ, but he’s also a terrific athlete with the speed to make plays out of the pocket. Clifford resembles 2016 commit Jake Zembiec but has perhaps a higher ceiling going into his junior season.

Clifford joined Dustin Hockensmith and Ross Tucker on the Keystone Kickoff Show this week to talk about his commitment to the Nittany Lions, the program’s decision to remove player names from jerseys and more. Check out audio of the show in this post and be sure to check back in to KeystoneSportsNetwork.com for plenty more Penn State podcasts and analysis.
