Penn State is making huge waves on the recruiting trail and second-year coach James Franklin with a tireless approach that includes every member of the coaching staff. The Nittany Lions netted a top-15 class in 2015 and got off to a hot start in the 2016 cycle with a quartet of four-star recruits in cornerback Lavert Hill, running back Miles Sanders, defensive end Shane Simmons and quarterback Jake Zembiec.
Penn State’s director of player personnel Andy Frank is the man behind the scenes, setting up visits, organizing travel schedules and more for the Nittany Lions’ coaching staff. He joined Dustin Hockensmith and Ross Tucker for a two-part segment on the Keystone Sports Network this week, first talking about his role and later about scholarships, roster issues and pleasant surprises from the 2014 season.
