Penn State’s incoming freshman class is just weeks away from arriving on campus and has a chance to make an immediate impact on the roster. The Nittany Lions are still recovering from NCAA sanctions and the 25 members of the ’15 class help restore the roster to nearly full strength. Coach James Franklin is back in the 80s with his scholarship count after the NCAA rolled back all remaining sanctions against the program.

Wide receiver Juwan Johnson is among the highest-upside players in the ’15 class, as a big, fast target who happens to relish blocking as much as catching. He’s a 6-5, 210-pound prospect from Glassboro High School who got a four-star rating from national recruiting services. He’s set to wear No. 84 for the Nittany Lions when he suits up as a freshman.

Johnson joined Ross Tucker and Dustin Hockensmith on the Keystone Sports Network this week to talk about his final preparations and his goals for his debut season.
