KSN Podcast: Penn State football news on James Franklin, Saquon Barkley, more

Penn State’s James Franklin says he’s not going anywhere, and he’s passionately refuted any indication that he’s interested in leaving. Franklin was linked to the vacancy at Miami this week in a report from Dennis Dodd of CBS Sports, which prompted a vehement denial from the coach that ended with, “This is where I want to be.”

Franklin is 6-2 at Penn State this season and owns a 13-8 record in two seasons with the Nittany Lions. He comes off a 31-30 win over Maryland that secured postseason eligibility and saw his passing attack lead the way behind Christian Hackenberg and Chris Godwin. Freshman running back Saquon Barkley was slowed by an ankle injury in that contest but Franklin said he’s nearing 100 percent in advance of this week’s Illinois game.

Bob Flounders, Greg Pickel and Dustin Hockensmith talked about Franklin, Barkley, Austin Johnson and more news on this week’s Keystone Kickoff Show. Check out audio of the show in this post and be sure to check back in to KeystoneSportsNetwork.com for plenty more Penn State podcasts and analysis.
