Former Penn State great and current Big Ten Network analyst had a front row seat for running back Saquon Barkley’s breakout performance in last Saturday night’s win over Rutgers. Millen is also from the same hometown as Barkley (Whitehall, Pa.) and has inside information about the freshman’s rise to prominence. The analyst is a big believer in Barkley’s abilities.
Millen’s admiration for “Say-Say” came through as he called the Penn State-Rutgers game, a contest in which Barkley rushed for 195 yards and two touchdowns. Millen said he saw a “thick kid” with good lateral movement who can help reverse a struggling offense’s fortunes.
Millen joined Bob Flounders and Ross Tucker on the Keystone Kickoff Show to talk about Barkley, Penn State’s defensive tackles and more. Check out audio of the show in this post and be sure to check back in to KeystoneSportsNetwork.com for plenty more Penn State podcasts and analysis.
