Penn State wrapped up its spring practice session last month and shifted its focus to the recruiting trail and other locations as the program heads toward the summer. James Franklin has been spotted at Yankee Stadium and soon kicks off his annual Coaches Caravan tour. Franklin made a splash with a hard first-pitch strike between a Yankees-Rays game, which was surely no accident, given the coach’s attention to every detail.

While the first pitch was seemingly unimportant on the surface, Franklin took the opportunity to make a statement by firing a strike. Days later, Franklin shifted his focus to linebacker Von Walker, who earned a scholarship after playing his first two seasons as a preferred walk-on.

Bob Flounders and Jim Galanti talked about those issues and plenty more on the Keystone Sports Network this week. Check out audio from the show in this post and get plenty more podcasts and analysis on KeystoneSportsNetwork.com and by following @KSNSportsNet on Twitter.
